As I have indicated previously, I am a firm NO vote on proposition 305. A NO vote will stop the proposed expansion of Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESA), which are private school vouchers using another label.
There is a lot of information regarding this proposition available, so I will not go into details here. However, according to various sources, even if the no vote wins, there is a possibility that a future legislature can still come back with another attempt at transferring your tax dollars to private schools. There is more to do. Vote for candidates in the general election that, if elected, will not support expansion of vouchers in the future.
I pledge to fight for public schools once I get to the state legislature.
