Today I was at the Sierra Vista, Arizona March for Our Lives which was organized by Buena High School students. A large, respectful group gathered at the corner of Fry Blvd & Coronado and then marched down Fry to Martha McSally's congressional office. As part of the national demonstration it was very inspiring to see so many people from all age groups supporting local students who wanted to add their voice to the call for change in how gun violence in the schools is handled.
I am inspired by the students. How focused, mature and articulate they are. I was joined by Mendy Gomez who is running for State Senate in LD14. I hope that both of us can get elected to help these young people get the change that they are demanding.
